Privacy Policy
Last updated: 9 August 2026
This policy explains, in plain English, what happens to your details when you join the waitlist, answer the Founding Circle questionnaire, call us, or simply visit this website. In short: we use your email to keep you updated about WorkMate Pro, we never sell or rent it, and you can leave at any time.
1. Who we are
WorkMate Pro Ltd, 22 Shore Road, Ballyhalbert, United Kingdom, is the data controller for the personal data described in this policy.
For anything privacy related, email josh@workmatepro.co.uk.
2. What we collect
- Waitlist: your name and email address.
- Founding Circle questionnaire: your answers about how you work, plus your name and email so we can send the free field guide and follow up.
- Phone calls: if you use the "Call me" button, we see your phone number and keep any notes you ask us to act on. We do not record calls.
- Technical data: IP address, device and browser type, pages viewed, and how you arrived at the site (for example from a Facebook or Instagram ad).
3. Email privacy
When you hand over your email, here is exactly what we do with it:
- We send launch updates, the free field guide if you requested it, and occasional notes about what we are building. Typically no more than a few emails a month.
- We never sell, rent, trade or share your email address with other companies for their own marketing.
- Every email has a one-click unsubscribe link. You can also email us and we will remove you.
- We do not send you unrelated third-party offers or add you to lists you did not ask for.
4. Why we are allowed to use it
- Consent: for marketing emails. You gave it when you signed up, and you can withdraw it at any time.
- Legitimate interests: to research what to build, understand how the site is used, respond to enquiries, and run and measure our advertising.
- Legal obligation: where we have to keep records or respond to lawful requests.
5. Who handles data for us
We use a small number of trusted providers who process data on our instructions:
- MailerLite: stores our email list and sends our emails.
- ScoreApp: collects and stores Founding Circle questionnaire answers.
- Meta (Facebook/Instagram): our advertising pixel measures ad performance.
- Our website host: serves this site and keeps basic server logs.
Some of these providers are based outside the UK. Where data is transferred abroad, it is done using the safeguards recognised under UK data protection law, such as UK International Data Transfer Agreements or adequacy decisions.
6. Cookies and tracking
This site uses the Meta Pixel, a small piece of code that tells us how many people visited after seeing one of our ads and which buttons were pressed. It may also be used to show you our ads again on Facebook or Instagram. It does not tell us your name or read anything else on your device.
You can opt out by:
- blocking or clearing cookies in your browser settings, or using private browsing;
- adjusting your ad preferences in your Facebook or Instagram account settings;
- using a browser or extension that blocks tracking scripts.
7. How long we keep it
We keep your details for as long as you want to hear from us. If you unsubscribe or ask us to delete your data, we remove it from our active systems within 30 days, apart from anything we are legally required to keep.
8. Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to:
- ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you;
- have inaccurate data corrected;
- have your data deleted;
- object to, or ask us to restrict, how we use it;
- ask for your data in a portable format;
- withdraw consent for marketing at any time.
To use any of these, email josh@workmatepro.co.uk. We will respond within one month. If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
9. Security
We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data. This site is served over an encrypted connection, and access to our email list and questionnaire responses is limited to people who need it. No system can be guaranteed perfectly secure, but we treat your details like we would want ours treated.
10. Children
WorkMate Pro is a tool for working tradespeople. This site is not intended for under-18s and we do not knowingly collect their data.
11. Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle your data, we will update this page and change the "last updated" date at the top. Significant changes to how we use your email will be told to you by email.
